Shana Karan (Ms. Delaxshana Manoharan) is an award-winning entrepreneur, global technology leader, and advocate for inclusive innovation. As the Founder of Shades IT Solutions and the Queen of Excellence organization, she has built a reputation for combining technical expertise with a strong social mission, empowering women and youth through digital transformation.

She founded Shades IT Solutions in 2018 in Vavuniya, Sri Lanka, with a bold vision to lead as a female entrepreneur in the IT sector within her region. Today, the company stands as a growing technology firm delivering innovative solutions, with Sri Lanka as its strong operational foundation.

Shana’s influence extends beyond business into policy, education, and ecosystem development. She serves on the board of the Vavuniya Information Communication & Technology Association and is an active member of SLASSCOM. She has contributed as a visiting lecturer and international guest speaker, including at the University of Bedfordshire in the UK. She has also served as a resource person for women-led tech enterprises through the Sri Lanka Export Development Board, the Faculty of Management and Finance at the University of Colombo, and multiple SME development initiatives across Northern Sri Lanka.
