She is a young, energetic and passionate woman with the drive and resilience to build a successful business. At the age of 24, right after completing her degree in Computer Science & Software Engineering she had the hunger to apply her talents and technical skills in-order to bring a change. Therefore she decided to take her initial steps and has a mission to be the first woman entrepreneur in the IT sector within her district in Northern Province of Sri Lanka. Despite all the obstacles, she managed to startup her own business called “Shades IT Solutions” in Vavuniya. She is also a Board of Directors of Vavuniya Information Communication & Technology Association and member of Slasscom, Visiting lecturer of well reputed universities, also she also initiated an organization called “Queen of Excellence” to mentor and support young girls to start their own business. She is a winner of WIM top 50 award winner for “Upcoming Women Entrepreneur”. She has also received award “Appreciation of Entrepreneur Award 2018″ by WUSC and received an award for great appreciation of dedication and commitment to achieve excellence and for exemplifying that “Women Can” by Uththamavi Guarantee Company – International Women’s Day -2020. She has also received an opportunity to participate in ICT Spring Europe 2021 conference held in Luxembourg and exhibit the company’s software products. She always thinks out of the box hence she reached France to participate in “Educatec” and “Trustech” conferences to gain more exposure in the IT field and to add value for her business.
